The Library has a Patron Lounge on the lower level, equipped with a refrigerator, coffee machine, hot and cold filtered water and other supplies.  If you wish to bring your lunch or a snack, you may use this room for breaks.  There are comfortable sofas, tables and chairs, and a power strip for charging your devices.

We are sometimes asked to recommend places nearby where one can buy coffee, snacks or lunch. Here are a few suggestions in the area :

1. A coffee shop / cafe is available in Richmond Hall, offering coffee and tea, some meals and snacks.  Visitors need to have a personal or guest Library card to have access to the building (for more information, please ask at the Circulation Desk).  Please note that payment at the cafe must be made using a credit or debit card — no cash will be accepted.  Normal open hours for the Richmond Hall cafe are :

Sept – May
8:00 am – 10:30 am, Mon-Tue-Thu-Fri breakfast
11:30 am – 2:00 pm, Mon-Tue-Thu-Fri lunch
On Wed, Community Lunch only
Closed Sat and Sun

June – Aug
11:30 am – 2:00 pm, Mon – Thurs lunch
