INTERLIBRARY LOAN SERVICES

Interlibrary Loan Information for OUR PATRONS

Important guidelines related to ILL Borrowing Services

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a resources sharing system among libraries within the US. This means that patrons can present a request to their own library to borrow the resources of another institution on their behalf. However, there are some limitations associated with ILL services. Patrons need to be aware of the following guidelines to find out if they qualify to use interlibrary loan (ILL) services:

  • Alumni are welcome to make a request for electronic ILLs (PDFs). When we receive the files, we will forward them to you

  • Alumni may not request books or other physical media via ILL. We highly recommend you to make use of your local public library to meet these needs.

Generally, lending is done through OCLC. We loan the following types of materials from our physical collection:

  • Books

  • Audio Materials*

  • Video Materials*

  • Scanned articles from our bound print collection

* availability depends on condition and uniqueness
