
Think of library classification like a giant filing system that keeps books on similar topics together so you can find them easily. The two main systems are Library of Congress (LC), used by the Richmond Campus library, and Dewey Decimal, used by the Charlotte Campus Library—both systems just use different "address formats" for books.
