Applying for Membership at the William Smith Morton Library


The collections and services of the Library are available without charge to :

  • Current students, faculty, staff and alumni/ae of Union and BTSR
  • Current members
  • Those affiliated with our partner libraries (such as VCU, UR, etc).

Only current students, faculty and staff of Union and BTSR are eligible for remote access to the Library's online databases and e-journals, and for interlibrary loan services.  For information about the electronic resources now available remotely for Alumni/ae in particular, please click HERE.

Clergy membership : Applicants must present a current letter of authorization from their Executive Presbyter or District Superintendent, indicating that they are in good standing with their presbytery or annual conference.

Please come to the Circulation Desk with photo ID to fill out an application form.  You may pay for your annual membership by check, cash or credit card.
